The
Hanen Program for Parents
The
Hanen Program for parents is a well-known model of family-focused early language intervention for young children with expressive
and/or receptive language disorders. The goal is to empower parents to become
their child’s primary language facilitator, thereby maximizing the child’s opportunities for communication development
in everyday situations. It Takes Two to
Talk is offered to late-talking toddlers and preschool-age children. This
course is held in a small group setting and also includes three individual visits to each family by the program leader.
Program
hourly breakdown:

Orientation
- one hour
·
Initial Report – ½ hour
·
Eight Sessions – 2 hours each
·
Video Sessions – three ½ hour visits
(individual families)
·
Final Report – ½ hour
This provides each family with 19.5 hours of instruction from a Licensed and Certified
Speech Language Pathologist. We are offering this course for only $350.00 per family.
This brings the cost to approximately $17.95 per hour! The regular cost
for 19.5 hours of speech therapy comes to $1,755.00 for Private Pay (at $90.00 per hour).
This means a savings of $1,405.00. For this introductory session, all
books and materials are included.
